The Leadership Today
Paul Cormier was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Red Hat in April 2020 after a stint as the company’s President of Products and Technologies, driving major strategy shifts and expansion of its portfolio of products and services.
Cormier joined Red Hat in May 2001 as Executive Vice President of Engineering. He is credited with leading efforts to replace Red Hat’s freely downloadable and boxed business model for Red Hat® Linux® in 2002 with an enterprise subscription model. This move helped change the trajectory for open source software and repositioned Red Hat from a consumer-based company with $50 million in annual revenue to the world’s largest open source-based software company.
Supporting Cormier is Jennifer Dudeck, Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer at Red Hat. She leads the team responsible for Global Human Resources.
Dudeck is passionate about helping individuals of all backgrounds find paths toward meaningful careers. She has created innovative experiences throughout her career—including talent expos and career-focused events—to help people make stronger career connections. She has also been a change leader across the enterprise, playing an active role in multiple major transformational initiatives.
Another stalwart who is part of the core management is a Red Hat veteran of 20 years, Michael Ferris. In his role as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy, he focuses on building the company’s global business strategy across all offerings and services, mergers and acquisitions, and market-making partnerships.
Peoples Company
The Red Hat culture is rooted in transparency, collaboration, and inclusion—open-source principles that drive our company forward. Their people, processes, and tools define their culture and are the core ingredients of their success. Great ideas come from sharing diverse perspectives, and Red Hat is dedicated to creating an inclusive environment for everyone, regardless of background.
Red Hatters are encouraged to freely exchange different viewpoints, contribute ideas, and solve problems together. Collaboration, accountability, a sense of community, and a measure of autonomy create a powerful force that fosters innovation and makes Red Hat a great place to work.
