When asked about his journey, George N. Krinos, President, reminisced, “In 2014, I was recruited as an independent agent for a merchant processing company. I found that I was successful in building relationships with clients and quickly became a top earner for that company. Unfortunately, I found that many processors do not offer much support to their independent agents, and in 2016 I started an agency to make right all wrongs I experienced in my early years.”
Competition and Staying Relevant
Prime Payment Solution (PPS) has assembled a team of professionals from far outside the traditional sales and marketing field. The experts come from finance, Retail, Multi-Unit and Fine Dining, Foodservice, Consulting, Marketing, and Healthcare.
“We truly put the customer first, and ensure they have a partnership with us when they call,” reflected George.
The company’s customers are brick and mortar, retail, and food service customers who often have advanced Point of Sale (POS) systems that have invested a large amount of money in licensing and the cost of the terminals. These customers are often paying excessive processing fees. Prime Payment Solution offers among the lowest rates in the nation because of its unique processing partnerships. The company is one of 40 companies in the United States that have the hardware partnership to integrate with any existing POS systems to provide those merchants with more affordable processing. They also have virtual tools such as online services, electronic invoicing for logistics, Trucking, and Transportation companies, including the ability to text invoices. And to top it all, ‘Next Day Funding’ allows merchants to access their money quicker.
They service all industries, including government, non-profit, traditional brick and mortar business, education-based business, and find processing for high-risk merchants.
“We have successfully placed merchants with processing partners who run businesses from home, provide virtual and online services, and even have merchants whose business is generated from social media. With shrinking profits in food service, rising costs because of the increased labor expense, and higher prices of goods nearly put a 67-year-old grandfather who opened the business as a coffee shop when he was 29 out of business. We implemented a “Cash Discount” program, and our Food service expert helped revamp his menu and recipes allowing for more profit,” beamed George.

The Team
“I push my staff to find and keep that balance so they can feel wealth in more ways than just financial. As a team, we celebrate life’s victories like the birth of a child or adopting a pet. We inspire giving back to the community and volunteering. Because of experiences in my own life, I tend to focus my charitable works to benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital,” said George when asked about the people policies at Prime Payment Solutions.
The Tough Road to Success
Not all ideas work out, sometimes, it seems like a failure was a waste of resources, but in reality, you get the opportunity to take something positive from every failure. That makes the risk of failure less ominous.
“It is failure that now makes us experts. Early on, we made mistakes in personnel, mistakes in training. That’s why we put such an emphasis on the mentorship program we developed for new employees. We want them to mirror success and not let our customers be the training tool. Like all other companies,” said George.
Growth Trajectory and Future Plans
“We are always expanding. Ideally, we want to put together a larger group of professionals
that provide referrals and a team of specialists setting appointments to allow us to reach out to more merchants and individuals,” says George.
Embracing change is vital to the company’s culture. As technology brings opportunity in new and different ways, the company plans to embrace that change as quickly as possible and continue to focus on being customer’s first choice, a great place to work, and a great Investment.
