The Leadership Team

Lucy-Marie Hagues, Chief Executive Officer, looks after the overall strategic direction and general management of the Capital One business.

Lucy cares deeply about making credit simple and wants to create ground-breaking products and experiences that empower customers.

She joined the Capital One graduate program in 2000 and worked her way up to the chief marketing officer before taking over as the CEO. Her exposure to various areas of the business has given her deep experience across underwriting, operations, and risk management. She played a critical role in developing several award-winning product initiatives, including the QuickCheck eligibility checker and CreditWise, the free credit report tool.

Rob Harding, Chief Services Officer, is responsible for technology, operations, brand & marketing, analytics, and Business Risk.

Rob started with the Capital One IT team in 1999 and became Head of IT Architecture and Programme Delivery in 2008, and in 2010 made Chief Information Officer. Rob featured in the UK Top 100 CIO report for the “Most Transformative CIOs in the UK business Economy” as well as Computer Weekly’s UKTech50 and Computing magazine’s Top 100 CIOs.

Rupert MacInnes, Chief Counsel, leads the UK Legal and Compliance teams, regulatory relations, external affairs, and corporate social responsibility. He is also Company Secretary.

Rupert is a qualified solicitor, has a degree in law from the University of Southampton, and an MBA from Imperial College Management School. Rupert joined the Capital One Legal team in 2002, was made Head of Legal in 2007, Chief Risk Officer in 2011, and Chief Counsel in 2015.

Katy Kasper is Head of Human Resources and cares deeply about HR’s role in creating an inclusive culture that helps people grow in their careers and serves its customers.

Katy graduated summa cum laude from Wake Forest University with a degree in Communications. Katy joined Capital One as Head of Human Resources in June 2021.
