ProducePay seeks to transform agriculture by eliminating waste, inefficiency, and uncertainty in the supply chain for a fairer, more sustainable food waste

ProducePay is working to revolutionize the produce industry by making commerce more predictable and transparent. The company’s Predictable Commerce Platform is designed to give growers and buyers unprecedented control and insight into their operations.

The produce industry is plagued by inefficiencies and waste, making it a challenging and unpredictable environment for growers, marketers, and retailers alike. A single shipment of produce can travel over 1,600 miles, passing through four to eight intermediaries along the way. This complex and fragmented supply chain is vulnerable to numerous factors that can disrupt the flow of goods, including unpredictable weather, fluctuating markets, crop diseases, and pests. The result is a constant state of instability that wreaks havoc across the entire supply chain.

ProducePay is working to revolutionize the produce industry by making commerce more predictable and transparent. The company’s Predictable Commerce Platform is designed to give growers and buyers unprecedented control and insight into their operations. By fostering greater access and transparency between these two parties, ProducePay is able to provide crucial capital, trading opportunities, and deep insights that help to eliminate inefficiencies and waste.

At its core, ProducePay’s mission is to transform the agricultural industry by eliminating the economic and food waste that is rampant in today’s volatile, opaque, and fragmented supply chain. The company’s proprietary Trading Performance rating and tiering system provides buyers with confidence in their trading partners, reducing risk and uncertainty. By providing a more stable and predictable environment, ProducePay is helping to build trust and confidence between growers and buyers.

One of the key ways that ProducePay is achieving its mission is through its On-Farm Intelligence program. This program provides growers with detailed reports on production and quality, helping them to anticipate any unexpected changes in production and quality. This not only helps to reduce waste but also enables growers to make informed decisions about their operations.

ProducePay also offers a range of financial solutions designed to help growers manage their cash flow needs during the growing season. The company’s Pre-Season Financing option provides growers with up to $30MM in financing in as little as 30 days, allowing them to access the capital they need to fund their operations. This financing option is based on factors like growing expertise rather than guarantees like land collateral, making it a more accessible option for growers.

In addition to Pre-Season Financing, ProducePay also offers Quick-Pay Financing options. This program provides growers with flexible terms and partnerships with customers, allowing them to bridge cash flow gaps and free up capital to invest in their business. By providing growers with the financial flexibility they need, ProducePay is helping to build lasting partnerships with customers and enable them to sell more produce.

ProducePay’s unique approach to the produce industry is based on its commitment to transparency and predictability. The company’s proprietary Trading Performance rating and tiering system provides buyers with confidence in their trading partners, while its On-Farm Intelligence program provides growers with detailed reports on production and quality. By providing this level of transparency and predictability, ProducePay is helping to build trust and confidence between growers and buyers.

In addition to its financial solutions, ProducePay also offers a range of other benefits designed to help growers manage their operations more effectively. The company’s network of premium buyers and sellers provides growers with access to new markets and customers, while its Protection program ensures that buyers are protected from any issues that may arise during the transaction.

Overall, ProducePay is working to transform the agricultural industry by eliminating the economic and food waste that is rampant in today’s volatile, opaque, and fragmented supply chain. By providing growers with unprecedented control and insight into their operations, as well as access to financial solutions and other benefits designed to help them manage their operations more effectively, ProducePay is helping to build a more sustainable and predictable future for the produce industry.

Pablo Borquez Schwarzbeck arrived at Cornell University to acquire the necessary knowledge for managing his family farm, which has been passed down for four generations. However, he ended up establishing his venture.

While studying at the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management, Borquez Schwarzbeck developed ProducePay, an internet-based platform that offers farmers improved opportunities to earn money from their harvests. Following the completion of his MBA, Borquez Schwarzbeck relocated ProducePay to Los Angeles, where the company flourished under his inventive ideas and admiration for traditional practices.
