Kigen, a leading force in eSIM and iSIM security, has unveiled its latest innovation: the Kigen eSIM IoT Remote Manager (eIM). This cutting-edge solution is designed to streamline the management of extensive IoT and consumer eSIM fleets.

The Kigen eSIM IoT Remote Manager is the first market-ready solution that fully complies with the latest GSMA SGP.32 v1.2 specification, ensuring compatibility with both the Kigen eSIM consumer operating system and existing operator Subscription Manager Data Preparation (SM-DP+) services. This development reflects Kigen's dedication to enhancing IoT connectivity, allowing manufacturers to seamlessly transition to IoT eSIM technology through solutions available at Kigen.

A core feature of the newly established GSMA IoT eSIM specifications (SGP.32), the eIM simplifies the architecture for managing eUICCs and facilitates the downloading of profiles from the SM-DP+ server.

Efficient and Sustainable IoT Solutions

The Kigen eSIM IoT Remote Manager is tailored to optimize management operations for compact, battery-powered devices. It incorporates innovative features such as on-the-fly translation, enabling the utilization of legacy SM-DP+ systems in cellular IoT deployments while supporting indirect profile downloading. Furthermore, the eIM is compatible with the latest Kigen Consumer eSIM operating system, which includes advanced capabilities like in-factory profile provisioning, secure element functionalities, and intelligent device logic for seamless profile transitions to prevent connectivity disruptions. The integration of Kigen’s device C-SDK, an embedded-C library, allows for quick feature integration into devices.

AI-Driven Operational Efficiency with Kigen Pulse

To improve user experience, Kigen enhances the eIM with Kigen Pulse, a centralized management console offering a unified platform for overseeing all Kigen services, including various iterations of Remote SIM Provisioning (RSP). Through comprehensive Open API v3 Specifications and an intuitive user interface, customers can manage their eSIM assets remotely or integrate this overview into existing platforms, ensuring business continuity post-deployment while eliminating costly manual management in large-scale IoT environments.

Validated Solutions with Industry Adoption

Kigen's eSIM IoT Remote Manager solution has undergone extensive testing and is already being adopted by industry leaders, including Particle. Moreover, integration efforts are underway with 15 additional prominent IoT clients.

The Kigen eIM is now accessible through versatile deployment options, either as a fully managed service hosted at Kigen's GSMA-accredited SAS-SM (Security Accreditation Scheme for Subscription Management) data centers or through Amazon Web Services (AWS). Starting in 2025, customers will also have the option to self-manage deployments on their own infrastructures. Centralized management experiences under Kigen Pulse support geo-redundant deployments and hybrid-cloud scenarios.

Additionally, with GSMA SAS-UP (for UICC Production) certifications in Dublin, Ireland, and Noida, India, Kigen reinforces the security and reliability of its solutions for connectivity service providers and device manufacturers.
